Terms & Conditions

1. The registration and film submission form will open on April 07, 2025 and close on May 16, 2025.
2. Film submission is open to the public.
3. Registration is free of charge.
4. The submitted film has not been screened at a previous Sewon Screening.
5. Accepted film categories include short films in fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental forms.
6. The film can be a silent movie.
7. The film was produced between 2024 and 2025.
8. Film has a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
9. Film must use double subtitles in Indonesian and English in hardsub format (subtitles are included in the film). Sewon Screening does not accept softsub formats such as .srt and other similar formats.
10. The maximum aspect ratio accepted is 16:9. Films with anamorphic aspect ratio (2.35:1), vertical format, or other specifications are allowed, provided they are adjusted into 16:9 frames through editing. If the film has more than one aspect ratio, please list them all in the form.
11. The accepted audio format is stereo. Sewon Screening does not accept mono or surround audio formats.
12. Participants are responsible for the originality of the film material and must include a letter of permission from the copyright holder if using non-original material.
13. In the “ Film File Submission Link” field in the form, participants must submit a Google Drive folder with the name “(Original Film Title) _ BERKAS FILM _ SEWON SCREENING 11” (access set in viewer mode for anyone with the link) that already contains the following documents:
    • Original Film File (preferred resolution maximum 4K and minimum 1080p, with a bitrate preference of minimum 50mbps and maximum 100mbps).
    • Preview Film Files, with a watermark of the production house, institution, or the text “for preview only” and such-like.
    • Trailer (preferred to have at least 1080p resolution).
    • Official Movie Poster (size 2:3/resolution 1280x1920, good quality image and not blurry).
    • Still Photo (3 shots from the movie that are considered to represent the film ideally in the Sewon Screening publication).
    • Director's photo (1 piece, portrait, a photo with an aspect ratio of 2:3, a good quality image and no blurry).
    • Photo ID of Director & Producer (ID can be in the form of KTP or KTM).
    • Director and Producer Profile (includes brief description, filmography, phone number, email and social media).
    • Copyright Statement (optional, only included in Google Drive if there are audio or visual assets whose copyright is owned by a third party other than the filmmaker).
    • Press Kit (includes crew and cast data, if any, optional).

    If there are any violations of the terms and conditions that are absolute (not optional) in the submission of film files, participants will be disqualified. For example, please refer to the Sample Submission Link.

14. The submitted films will go through a curation and selection stage.
15. Participants whose films pass or do not pass the curation and selection process will get further information from the Sewon Screening 11 committee via E-mail. Notes: Participants who receive information are those who fill in the identity column in the form with a valid, active, and contactable e-mail address.
16. If the registered film passes the curation and selection, participants who have received information from the committee are required to re-verify by completing an agreement letter containing film data, terms of agreement, and the participant's signature as a sign of agreement.
17. Participants who pass the curation and selection are required to present at least one film representative to come to the Sewon Screening 11 event in order to fill in the post-screening discussion session related to the film as well as a form of accountability from the passed film (preferably the Director or Producer of the film).
